The only "nut" that grows in the ground is actually in the legume family and is grown in much of the south-eastern United States for domestic consumption. In the 19th century circuses and baseball games became famous places to snack on peanuts. They were also consumed in the cheap seats of theatre balconies; thus, the term "peanut galleries".
We sell a large variety of peanuts plus our preservative-free peanut butter. Give it a try!
